Emergencies

Outside of our normal opening hours we have made arrangements for our emergency cases to be seen by a dedicated veterinary emergency clinic called Medivet. Medivet is located close to Rayleigh.

Medivet  is manned 24 hours a day and is staffed throughout the night by an experienced vet and an experienced nurse. If your animal has to be hospitalised then there will be someone with it at all times throughout the night. While we would like to provide our own emergency service round the clock from Woodham Halt nowadays with the standard of care which our clients are right to expect this is just not possible anymore. In  the event of an emergency please phone our normal practice number and you will given the contact details for Medivet.

Directions to Medivet

1.     Take the A127 Southend Arterial Road and head towards Southend.

2.     Look for Essex Ford garage on your left and carry on past it, the next roundabout is the Tesco Roundabout, take the very first exit from it.

3.     Carry on for a short distance till you come to another roundabout, you will see Southend Audi garage on it. Go straight over into Comet Way and Medivet is the first turning a few yards on your left.

[ This journey will take 20 minutes or less from South Woodham. ]

You can call Medivet on 01702 526666

Charlie Fox says " Medivet is there for you in the case of an extreme emergency but remember we have surgeries for our clients at Woodham Halt every day of the year including Sundays and Bank Holidays, hold on for one of our surgeries if you can do so without endangering your pet. You can always call Medivet for advice at any time "
